Anyone watching my Youtube channel recently has probably been wondering when I am going to start posting Switch 2 footage. Well, I would have posted footage sooner... if I actually had a Switch 2 sooner.
Even though I tried to preorder the Switch 2 from various websites as soon as preorders opened, the Best Buy website completely screwed me. When I clicked to preorder, it gave me the spinning circle thingy and told me I was in line. However, an hour later, when it finally loaded to the next page, it said I had nothing in my cart, and the preorders had already sold out. So I got nothing. Thanks a lot, Best Buy!
I also got sick for a couple weeks when the Switch 2 finally released, and I noticed that my local retailers had absolutely massive lines for the Switch 2, so there was no way I was going wait in some line all day just to probably get screwed again.
I had also signed up for the MyNintendo Switch 2 reservation system, but to this day, Nintendo has not offered me the chance to buy the system.
Today, however, I checked GameStop website, and it said right on the front page that they had received a restock of Switch 2 systems, though it didn't say where. So I called my local GameStop, and the employee said she would have to unbox the latest shipment and scan them into the system. I was told to call back an hour later. When I called back, she confirmed that they had indeed received Switch 2 systems.
I raced down there and 10 minutes later, I was the happy owner of a new Switch 2. Although I wanted to get the standard system and buy a physical version of Mario Kart World separately, they didn't have the standard systems in stock, so I just bought the Mario Kart bundle. I think this is the first time I have ever purchased a digital bundle for a console.
So without further adieu, it's time to Switch 2.
