Keet gave me a complete copy of Tin Star for the SNES for Christmas, which was a nice gift. I had been thinking about getting this game for quite a while, but I never got around to it because I had either been saving money or spending it on other things.
Tin Star is interesting because it's one of the few SNES games that allows you to use a standard controller, the SNES Mouse, or the Super Scope. Interestingly, the back of the box claims it's the first game to do this, but that's completely wrong.
Tin Star was released in November of 1994, but Operation Thunderbolt, released one month earlier, did the same thing (while offering two-player cooperative play). Also, T2: The Arcade Game was released even earlier (around February of 1994), and did the exact same thing.
I guess those games somehow don't count!
I look forward to posting footage of this one.
